Consultant for Sweco A/S. Establishing a design approach for pile rafts by use of lateral pushover analyses for single piles (LPILE). Providing static and dynamic stiffness moduli for the pile behaviour to be used by designers to handle wind and earthquake loading. Check and optimization of large pile rafts for the foundation of Raw Meal Silo, Clinker Silo, Off Spec Silo and Cement Silos (interaction assessed by GROUP). The bored piles (D660mm and D800mm) were optimized with respect to compression, tension and horizontal capacity. Large tension and lateral loads were applied in earthquake loading.
